Former Utah State player earns WPSL award

Former Utah State soccer player Charity Weston was recently named Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) player of the week for the Pacific Conference.

Weston, a native of Layton, netted two goals in a victory over FC Sacramento, and posted another goal and two assists in the West Coast FC's win over Walnut Creek.

Weston is among the league scoring leaders, ranking fourth in total points with 18 on seven goals and four assists. West Coast FC has clinched the Pacific-South Division title and will open the playoffs on July 26-27.
