Here are some resources that may help:

• AARP: AARP.org has a list of National Employer Team businesses that have signed agreements with the association to give older workers a fair shake in hiring. The Web site also has tips for interviewing and other job help.

Alma mater: Universities across the country, including the University of Utah (www.alumni.utah.edu/career), are giving career assistance to alumni, many of whom are over age 55.

SCSEP: Senior Community Service Employment Program is a $433 million federal program, provided here in Utah through Easter Seals. The program gives job training and placement help to low-income people ages 55 and over who have poor employment prospects. Call 801-536-7192 for more information.
