Sister Beck to speak at BYU-I
More than 1,000 students will receive their diplomas and hear from Sister Beck on July 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium.
The university will award 937 bachelor's degrees and 118 associate degrees. The youngest graduate, Joshua White, 18, will receive an associate degree. The oldest graduate, Diana Wiese, 58, will receive a bachelor's degree.
While tickets are required to attend commencement in the Hart Auditorium, individual college convocations, which do not require tickets, will be held at 8 p.m. the same evening at locations across campus. Sister Beck was sustained as general president of the Relief Society in March 2007. She had previously served as first counselor in the General Young Women Presidency. Sister Beck is a graduate of Dixie College and Brigham Young University.
