Thanks to Murray Mayor Dan Snarr and the staff of his Parks Department for the development of the new rose garden located directly across State Street from the new Intermountain Medical Center. Early Tuesday morning, while working in the rose garden as a volunteer, I noticed a lady and her daughter enjoying the roses. They were from Loa, Utah. She said her husband was in the hospital across the street undergoing a heart transplant. She said the rose garden provided a place of peace and tranquility. Her statement suddenly made all the work associated with the development of the new rose garden seem worthwhile. I cut a beautiful white rose and gave it to her when she left.
