SOFTBALL: Salt Lake CC announced that Lindsey Palmer has been named the Betty Jo Graber Female Athlete of the Year. The recipient of this award is selected out of all female athletesin the NJCAA. Palmer is the 16th female athlete and the third softball player to be awarded the honor. Along with being named Female Athlete of the Year, Palmer was also named first team NJCAA All-American, first team NFCA All-American, SWAC Pitcher of the Year and Region 18 All Tournament Team.

Utah

BASEBALL: Coach Bill Kinnenberg announced the addition of Mike Crawford to the coaching staff. Crawford, who will serve as Utah's pitching coach, comes to Utah after a two-year stint as the associate head coach at Yavapai College in Prescott, Ariz. Crawford replaces Bryan Conger, who left to take the helm at Tarleton College.
