Man wields machete in fight, police say

OGDEN — Police have arrested a man they said threatened to behead another man during a fight Saturday night.

Officers said the man got into an argument with some "former friends," and brought out a machete.

"He punched one of them in the face and threatened to cut another's head off with a machete," Ogden Police Lt. Scott Sangberg said Monday.

The man fled when police were called, officers said. The 35-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Weber County Jail on investigation of aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.
