Death penalty has purpose
Recently a lot has been said about the U.S. Supreme Court's decision regarding private citizens bearing unconcealed guns. I am more concerned about the recent decision to lift the death penalty for rapists of young victims. Why is there not more discussion about that? The liberal thinking in this country to soften penalties for heinous crimes, such as rape and murder, is ludicrous. Perpetrators receive too much consideration in the judicial system. The death penalty has a purpose. It is the price for such crimes and is a proper option in our weakening judicial system.
