Host of festivities planned for Fourth of July

St. George: July 4: 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m., breakfast in the park, $4 per adult, $3 per child. Booths selling crafts, foods, games throughout the day, special children's activities; fireworks at Vernon Worthen Park, 200 S.400 East. 435-627-4560.

Virgin: July 3: 8 p.m., Middle of the Road band, no one under 21, at Merlin's 101 parking lot, two miles east of Virgin. July 4: 7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m., breakfast, $2 per plate; 10:30 a.m., teamed horseshoe tournament, winners receive Remington shotguns, fee $10 per team; 5:30 p.m., community pot-luck and beef tri tip barbecue dinner, $3 per person, $12 per family, full concessions; 6:30 p.m., auction, quilt raffles, gift certificate drawings, prize ticket drawings, town park, 435-635-9391.
