Host of festivities planned for Fourth of July
Park City: July 4: 7-10 a.m., breakfast in city park; 8 a.m., 3-mile run; 11 a.m., parade; 11 a.m.-4 p.m., music, food and games at city park; 7:30 p.m., Deer Valley concert, Utah Symphony performance of patriotic favorites; fireworks at Park City Mountain Resort at dusk.
Tooele County
Grantsville: July 3: dusk-to-dawn tennis fundraiser for Alzheimer's research. July 4: 7 a.m.,5K run, Ray Barris fundraiser; 8 a.m., flag-raising and pancake breakfast; 11 a.m., parade, West to Quirk streets; 11 a.m.-6 p.m., concessions, games, food, more than 12 rides. Funds go to Tooele charities; noon, bicycle judging; 12:30 p.m.-6 p.m., 7th annual Tooele Valley car show, three live bands; 4-9 p.m., Mutin Bustin rodeo for ages 16 and under; 5:30 p.m., awards ceremony; live music through the evening; 10 p.m., fireworks with music, Cherry Street park, 435-830-9714.
