Utah Jazz: Utah makes offer to Miles, picks up option on Millsap
The offer to Miles thought to be worth about $1.18 million for next season makes the Dallas high school product a restricted free agent.
That means the Jazz retain the right to match any offer he might receive from another team when the NBA's summer shopping market opens late Monday night.
Miles, a second-round draft choice in 2005, has played three years for the Jazz, and averaged 5.0 points in 60 games (13 starts) last season.
The pick-up of Millsap's third year was fully expected, and pays $797,581.
Millsap, a second-round draft choice out of Louisiana Tech in 2006, averaged 8.1 points and 5.6 rebounds last season.
He hasn't missed a game in his first two NBA seasons, but underwent surgery to repair a torn thumb ligament shortly after the 2008 postseason concluded for the Jazz.
