PROVO — A group of former and current professional athletes, including Rob Morris and Dale Murphy, will gather at Pioneer Park in Provo today from 8 a.m. to noon to participate in a Sports Hero Day that will benefit more than 400 youths.

The event is presented by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County and will serve families throughout the county. The public is also invited to participate in this event, which will include a rock-climbing wall, inflatables, games, food, a skills demonstration and skills instruction. The event is also meant to give a chance for kids to interact with some of their heroes.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need the most encouragement, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens and leaders.
