Day planner
July 1: LDS Hospital will unveil its new special care nursery, for babies who need specialized medical treatment, with an open house from 1-5 p.m. on the fourth floor of the hospital. The public can tour the unit, talk with staff and learn about the new nursery, designed to help babies who need more one-on-one care but who aren't sick enough to be in intensive care.
July 1: "Eat Local Tomatoes Workshop" and tour at Grateful Tomato Garden, 7 p.m., 600 E. 800 South.
July 9 and 16: Fitness and diet planning class at South Davis Recreation Center, Bountiful, 6 p.m., $20. Register at 901-299-1601. For information, www.blonderunner.com.
July 19: People with AIDS Coalition of Utah will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a fashion charity show at the Grand Hall at the Depot, 400 W. South Temple. Social hour starts at 6 p.m., fashion show at 7 p.m. and hula dancers at sunset. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door and can be purchased online at www.pwacu.org or by calling 801-484-2205.
