Commuters encouraged to donate food

The University of Phoenix is inviting commuters to make a quick freeway exit to donate food to the Utah Food Bank.

All the university's campuses, typically located just off freeway exits for easy student access, are collecting food donations through June 27. The food drive includes campuses in Murray, Taylorsville, North Davis, Provo and St. George.

Donations can be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon.

Campuses are at: 5373 S. Green St., Murray (exit I-15 at 5300 South, go west one block and turn south); 4393 S. Riverboat #250, Taylorsville (exit I-15 at 4500 South, go west through the first light, then turn north at the second light, 800 West, then east into the parking lot); 1366 Legend Hills Drive, Suite 200, Clearfield (exit east off I-15 at Antelope Drive exit, turn left at first light, University Boulevard; turn left on frontage road; turn right in front of Tepanyaki Restaurant into parking lot); 561 E. 1860 South, Provo (exit I-15 at University Street heading east; go through two lights and then turn right at the University of Phoenix building); and 965 E. 700 South, St. George (exit I-15 at St. George Boulevard going east; turn right on River Road to 700 South; turn right).
