LAYTON — Police are looking for a man who robbed a bookstore at gunpoint Friday afternoon.

Layton police Sgt. Curtis Salvesen said the thief, described by witnesses as a 6-foot white man in his 20s wearing a dark hoody, sunglasses and bandana, pointed a gun at an employee of Seagull Book and Tape at 448 W. Antelope Drive and demanded money.

The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash and was reported leaving in a small, silver "sporty" Subaru.

Layton police are still searching for the man and ask anyone with information to call the department at 801-497-8300.
