Utah County celebrations
BENJAMIN Benjamin will start its summer celebration Thursday with a flag-raising at 5 p.m.
This marks the 122nd anniversary of the first LDS ward established in Benjamin, a southern Utah County town.
Other activities include a children's parade and a potluck picnic in the park with hamburgers and hot dogs being served. A 2008 Citizen of the Year will be announced during a program. The evening will conclude with a ballgame.

Saratoga Springs to celebrate the city's 10th anniversary
SARATOGA SPRINGS Celebrate the city's 10th anniversary at Saratoga Splash. Among the activities are the lighted-boat parade and the Saratoga Springs wakeboard tournament.
Enjoy the outdoor movie, carnival and annual policeman's breakfast.
The event begins Saturday, June 14, with the model airplane show, and ends June 21 with a concert-and-fireworks show.
Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband will perform.
For some real fun join the Guinness World Record Water Pistol Fight, which will include at least 2,000 people armed with squirt guns.

Orem's Summerfest planned for Friday and Saturday
OREM Orem's Summerfest 2008 will be Friday and Saturday at the city park just behind the city buildings between Center Street and 100 North, State Street and 400 East.
Events include a carnival, food booths, boutique booths, displays, a 5K run, children's and grand parades and fireworks.
There will also be random events throughout the park, organizers say.
