Baxter's American Restaurant, 400 West and South Temple, has added new summer items to its lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch menus. Executive Chef Joseph Davis' entrees include a twist of flavors, such as lemon cream fettuccini, grilled pork chop in black currant sauce and spring vegetable pappardelle.

New starters include chilled gazpacho and a chopped salad with apple, feta and roasted beets. Baxter's signature "Not Your Mother's" meatloaf and housemade donuts with three dipping sauces will remain on the summer menu. The lunch menu will continue to offer an express three-course selection for under $10. Sunday brunch includes seasonal fruit served with seven different eggs Benedict (456-8999).

Acme Burger Company, 275 S. 200 West, has opened its outdoor patio seating for the summer. The restaurant is also offering its menu of innovative hamburgers with full bar service until close each night. Acme is open Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.- midnight, and Sunday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. www.acmeburgercompany.com.
