AMERICAN FORK — The annual Harrington Memorial Day 5K and mile race will get started at 8 a.m. Monday at the American Fork Fitness Center.

This year's race is "Run for Ryan" and will benefit the family of Katie Cox, the widow of American Fork resident Ryan Cox. Cox was killed in an accident in late March.

The event is organized by 26.2 Running Co. in American Fork. They have around 300 runners registered already and are expecting a turnout of around 500.

"Every year we choose someone in our community, and the proceeds go to help them," said David Bell of 26.2 Running Co.

The cost for registering the day of the race is $15 for the mile and $20 for the 5K. Prices are discounted for early registration and can be done at 26.2 Running Co.
