Farmers Market
What: Buy fresh produce, bread, pastries and cheeses, eat unique foods for lunch and view dozens of handmade crafts for sale.
Where: Historic Pioneer Park, 300 South and 300 West, Salt Lake City
When: Every Saturday, June 14 through October, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
Ages: all ages

Red Butte Garden
Where: 300 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City
When: The gardens are open daily May until August, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Camps run June through August.
Ages: Varies depending upon activity. Camps are available to children age 12 and younger.
How much: Most events are free with admission or require a minimal free. Camps cost as much as $120.

Ogden Nature Center
What: Take a bird walk with wildlife expert Jack Rensel or learn about the different howls of animals in Yellowstone National Park.
Where: 966 W. 12th St., Ogden
When: The bird walk is May 24, 9-10 a.m. The howl workshop will be on June 14 at 6:30 p.m.
Ages: All ages
How much: The bird walk is free for members and $3 for nonmembers. The howl workshop is $10 for nonmembers and $8 for members.
Preregistration is required.
