MORE ANTLERLESS PERMITS

More permits will be available in Utah this year to hunt anterless big game animals.

Members of the Utah Wildlife Board increased the number of cow elk, cow moose and doe pronghorn antelope permits available for this fall's hunts.

Hunters can apply for a permit starting June 2. Applications must be received no later than June 30.

Permits available include:

Doe deer — 1,730 (2007) to 1,170 (2008)

Cow elk — 7,931 (2007) to 10,529 (2008)

Doe pronghorn — 392 (2007) to 727 (2008)

Cow moose — 89 (2007) to 109 (2008)
