Health fair for women scheduled Thursday

A Women's Health Fair for women of all ages will take place Thursday in the Madsen Health Center, 555 S. Foothill Blvd.

The fair will be open from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and is sponsored by the Center of Excellence in Women's Health at the University of Utah. It will focus on disease prevention as well as improving physical and mental health. Utah women typically rank near the bottom of the country in receiving preventive health care measures such as cholesterol screening, mammograms, pap smears and routine checkups as well as prenatal care.
