JC transfer commits to Morrill, Utah State
LOGAN (AP) Utah State is adding a former Minnesota prep star to its basketball team.
Stavon Williams averaged 15 points a game at San Jacinto College, a two-year school in Texas. He's a 6-foot-4 guard who will have two years of eligibility at Utah State.
Coach Stew Morrill says Williams' skills will stretch the defense. He made 43 percent of his 3-point shots last season.
Williams averaged 23 points per game as a senior at Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis.
