Liberal tax logic flawed

Eric Samuelson (Readers' Forum, May 7) says there is no evidence that lowering taxes promotes economic growth. It must be assumed then, at least according to his liberal logic, that raising taxes won't discourage economic growth. So let's just raise taxes to 100 percent and have government responsible for, in addition to Mr. Samuelson's list, everything else in our lives, with no adverse economic effects to our businesses, livelihoods or way of life.
