PROVO — The city is organizing a transition team to assist with the sale of iProvo.

Provo spokeswoman Helen Anderson said the team will be given the duty of gathering materials and information to turn over to Broadweave Network. The sale is expected to close on or before June 30, 2008.

Anderson said Bruce Riddle, business manager for the Energy Department, will lead the team along with Assistant City Attorney Ryan Wood, and Aaron Leach, network manager of the iProvo System.

The team will work closely with the Broadweave staff to finalize all the regulatory and operational tasks necessary to meet the sale date.

An open meeting for the public will be held Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Network Operational Center at 744 N. 300 West, Anderson said. Broadweave representatives will be in attendance to discuss the benefits they hope to bring to the community, he said.
