Fisher should be applauded

We were embarrassed to hear Utah Jazz fans booing Derek Fisher as he came into the arena. Here was a good man who made a huge difference to last year's Jazz team — providing leadership, maturity and class. He obviously cared about the team and his fellow players.

Derek showed where his priorities were when he gave up considerable money to return to Los Angeles for the sake of his daughter. The Jazz showed care and concern when they released him from his contract. He should be applauded for being a fine basketball player but even more for being a remarkable father and human being.
