What about Dixie pollution?

If the population grows to 700,000 people in Washington County, that means at least 1 million cars. That's good for car dealers but what about air pollution?

Look at Salt Lake and Logan, now on the American Lung Association's 10-worst list for short-term particle pollution. St. George also experiences temperature inversions that cause air pollution.

Before building the Lake Powell pipeline, which leads to future growth and more cars, will there be a comprehensive environmental study — including future air quality in Washington County? People should understand how this will affect their quality of life and that of their children. And what are the plans to expand infrastructure to handle 1 million-plus cars?
