UTA execs should ride bus

I find it interesting how the Utah Transit Authority deals with a budget shortfall — layoffs, route cuts, hiring freezes and fuel surcharges. All of these to be shouldered by low-level employees and those in the lower/middle class who have to use the bus/TRAX system. Never once has there been a proposal to perhaps cut the exorbitant salaries of the senior staff at UTA. They're getting paid as much as their counterparts in cities twice as large, and our system is working at half the efficiency of theirs.

If you're making big bucks off the backs of those who ride the bus, I'd like to see you ride along with us.
