The Utah Blaze, the day prior to their trip to New Orleans to play the VooDoo, waived ex-Ute linebacker Corey Dodds, ex-Cougar offensive lineman Jake Kuresa and veteran lineman John Culp.

But it was only temporary. All three have their football jobs back with the Blaze. Dodds was signed Tuesday and placed on the Blaze's practice squad. Culp and Kuresa were signed Monday and are now on Utah's 24-man active roster.

The 0-9 Blaze have also put offensive lineman Tupe Peko on the injured reserve list. Utah is winless on the year, but it may have its best opportunity for its first victory of the season on Saturday when it hosts the team with the Arena Football League's second-worst record, the 1-7 Kansas City Brigade.
