AMERICAN FORK — The American Fork Police Department will host a free Bicycle Safety Fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Wal-Mart parking lot at 949 Grasslands Drive.

The bike fair will include a bicycle rodeo course for youths, riding demonstration by the American Fork Police Bicycle Team, and giveaways of 100 bike helmets and two new bicycles donated by Wal-Mart.

Other demonstrations will include the police SWAT and K9 teams. The Rotary Club will compile Amber Alert identity packets for all interested parents. Participants will also be able to obtain city registration tags for their bicycles at no cost. The registration tags are used as a deterrent to bicycle thefts and greatly aid in bicycle-owner identification and recovery.
