UTAH STATE PRISON — Changes are coming to Utah's sex offender registry.

The Utah Department of Corrections said that, effective next week, new information will be posted on the publicly accessible Web site, including:

• Secondary addresses.
• Detailed vehicle information, including license plates.
• Professional licenses held by the offender.
• Educational institution affiliations.
• Volunteer information.

Offenders also will provide law enforcement with Internet and employer information, copies of passports and immigration papers. Voyeurism, kidnapping, aggravated kidnapping and unlawful detention will be offenses added to the registry. The changes take effect Monday.

The changes are the result of laws passed by the Utah Legislature to make the state more compliant with the federal Adam Walsh Act.

The Utah Sex Offender Registry can be found at corrections.utah.gov.
