If you're looking for a good activity — or three — that will help you have fun outdoors, get into shape and benefit the homeless, consider the Fourth Street Clinic Eighth Annual Triathlon & 5K Saturday.

Registration is ongoing for an individual triathlon (300-yard swim, 8-mile mountain bike, 5K run), a team triathlon (two to three people per team on the same course) and a 5K run/walk (strollers permitted).

The races are sponsored by University of Utah medical students to benefit the Fourth Street Clinic, a nonprofit community health-care provider for the homeless.

The event will take place at the University of Utah's HPER Complex (look for signs near the Huntsman Center). Check-in and day-of registration begin at 7 a.m. The triathlon begins at 9 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. 5K start.

Cost is $35 for individual triathlon, $50 for team triathlon and $20 for 5K run/walk. An additional $5 fee will be added for day-of registration.

For information and to register, go to 4thstreettri.blogspot.com.
