CLINTON — Starting today, fans of Katelyn Jolley, the Clinton girl who won CMT.com's "Music City Madness" contest in December, can see Jolley's performance on the country music Web site's online performance series.

The episode of "Unplugged at Studio 330" featuring Jolley will launch today at CMT.com/music.

During taping of the show, Jolley performed four of her songs: "Out of Time," "Daydream," "Shadow" and the song that won the "Music City Madness" contest, "This Game."

The contest began with 700 entries of self-produced music videos of original music uploaded to CMT's Web site. The field was narrowed to 64 finalists in an NCAA-tournament-style bracket.

Each week, after online votes were tallied, half of the contestants were eliminated, and all along the way, Katelyn Jolley came out on top with "This Game."

For the finals, more than 4 million votes were cast when Jolley faced off against Macy Van Arnam, a 16-year-old from Ogdensburg, N.Y.

After Jolley got the Dec. 11 announcement that she had won "Music City Madness," she and her family began making plans with CMT.com for her grand-prize trip in February to Nashville, Tenn., for her own episode of "Studio 330," as well as an audition with Sony BMG Nashville A&R executives.

CMT.com spokeswoman Amanda Murphy said "Studio 330" sessions are "stripped-down," spontaneous performances of new material and signature hits streamed exclusively on CMT.com.

The show, launched exclusively online in March 2005, has featured Kris Kristofferson, Little Big Town, Big & Rich, Taylor Swift, Dwight Yoakam, Pam Tillis and others.

That's some nice company for a girl who learned to play guitar little more than a year ago.

But that's what "Studio 330" is about, Murphy said.

"It is a unique presentation of acoustic performances from established country stars and promising new artists," she said.

Though Jolley didn't come back to Utah with a music contract, she came back with encouragement and optimism for the future.

Fans can keep up with her and download some of her songs at her MySpace page, www.myspace.com/katejolley.
