LEED is a voluntary, nationally recognized standard to support and certify successful green building design, construction and operations.
4 Utah developments joining LEED program
Four Utah developments are taking part in the LEED neighborhood development pilot program, a joint venture of the U.S. Green Building Council, Congress for the New Urbanism and the Natural Resources Defense Council.
• City Creek Center A 20-acre private mixed-use development of the LDS Church located at the former Crossroads Plaza and ZCMI Center malls sites in downtown Salt Lake City.
• Marmalade A 5.5-acre mixed-use Redevelopment Agency project just west of the state Capitol.
• Daybreak Village Center A 47-acre development of homes, retail shops and offices in the South Jordan master-planned community.
• Newpark Town Center A 350-acre resort area in Park City featuring office, residential, hotel, retail and recreational space.
