Ute skiers celebrate 60 years
The celebration, which will coincide with the annual ski team banquet, is a chance for all former Ute skiers, friends and family of the program to gather and remember 60 years of the program.
In addition to two days of skiing, activities planned include both Nordic and alpine ski races, a family scavenger hunt, a Friday social and Saturday banquet. Former NCAA team and individual champions will be honored and the current team will be recognized for their 2008 NCAA podium finish.
"It's amazing to be a part of the deep history of this program," director of skiing Eli Brown said. "I'm excited that so many alumni have talked about coming back. It should be a great weekend of reconnecting and celebrating 60 years of history."
Cost for weekend activities is $149 per person, which includes two days of all-mountain ski passes, entry to ski races and activities, Friday evening social and Saturday evening dinner and program. Of that cost, $50 is tax deductible.
Cost for children for the weekend 3-12 yrs. is $99. In addition, a Saturday dinner and program option is available for $75.
