Ogden Climbfest 2008 schedule of events

Wednesday/Thursday

Climbing guests will put up new climbing routes in the Ogden area. This will be a hallmark of the festival. Every year the festival will produce a number of new climbing routes done by climbers of note.

Friday

Social, dinner, silent auction starting 6 p.m.

Saturday

8 a.m. — Meet at St. Joseph High School parking lot for a boulder field clean up.
10 a.m. — Exhibition open to public of climbing by invited climbers, including John Bachar, Lynn Hill, Pete Lowe. Park at St. Joseph High School and follow the signs to meet on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Learn the basics of bouldering from the Ogden Climbing Parks instructional staff. This clinic is open to the public, and limited equipment will be available. Free of charge.
5:30 p.m. — Reception open to public.

6 p.m. — Lynn Hill, one of the greatest free climbers in the world; 6:30 p.m. — Pat Ament and the 30th anniversary of Master of Rock;
7:15 p.m. — John Bachar will present a slide show detailing his life and climbs;
8 p.m. — Warren Macdonald Mountains Without Barriers;
8:30 p.m. — social. All at Eccles Community Center and tickets required.

Sunday

9 a.m. — Dan Schroeder of the Sierra Club will lead a braided trail mitigation project. Meet at St. Joseph High School parking lot.
