U. student group plans Asian Appreciation Night

The Vietnamese-American Student Association at the University of Utah is hosting Asian Appreciation Night on Saturday.

Students and community members along with Asian immigrants and refugees will present speeches, monologues and presentations about their experience and adaptation in America. A variety of topics, including war, racism and discrimination, culture identity and others will be discussed. Dancing and other talents will also be displayed.

A $7 fee is required to attend, all proceeds help in fund-raising for the VASA Community Leadership Scholarship. The event begins at 8 p.m. at the Orson Spencer Hall Auditorium. For more information, visit vasautah.com.
