A 27-year-old Draper man employed by Utah First Credit Union was charged with one count of felony theft and three counts of felony forgery on Tuesday in an embezzlement case involving the loss of over $60,000 from the credit union between Aug. 1, 2007 and Jan. 31, 2008.

Court documents state the money was stolen from 70 different accounts and allege the man took cash directly from the till and forged account holder signatures on withdrawal slips.

The credit union has reimbursed its account holders and, according to the court filing, "stands as the victim in the consolidated theft."

The man was employed at the branch office at 208 E. 800 South in Salt Lake City.
