House whip will not seek another term

ROOSEVELT — Utah's House Majority Whip Gordon E. Snow announced Tuesday that he will not seek another term in office.

Snow, R-Roosevelt, has served in the state Legislature for 10 years representing House District 54.

"It has been a wonderful experience," Snow said in a press release. "I appreciate the many friends I have made in Duchesne, Uintah and Wasatch counties, and the challenges and projects we have worked on together."

During his time in office, Snow served as vice chairman of the House Taxation and Revenue Standing Committee, chairman of the Public Education Appropriation and the House Ethics committees and Speaker Pro Tempore.
