Pharmacist honored
Jolley founded Jolley Rexall Drug and has been a member of the association for 60 years. In that time, he served in many roles, including president and trustee. He's been published in the National Association of Retail Druggists Journal, was involved in research at his alma mater, the University of Utah, which led to approval of the drug Dilantin and has broadly shared his expertise in the areas of drug abuse, pharmacology and marketing.
He has also served in many volunteer positions in the community, with a focus on youth, faith and business. This year marks the 50th year of the Bowl of Hygeia Award.
The Bowl of Hygeia is the most widely recognized international symbol for the pharmacy profession and is considered its most prestigious award. It is awarded to pharmacists with an outstanding record of civic leadership and encourages pharmacists to be actively involved in their communities. It is presented each year by participating pharmaceutical associations in each state, D.C., Puerto Rico and the 10 Canadian provinces.
