• The Utah Watercolor Society will host watercolorist Carl Purcell in a lecture demonstration at the Wheeler Historic Farm, 6953 S. 900 East. The event will begin at 7 p.m. with the demonstration following at 7:30, where Purcell will discuss "Putting People in Your Paintings."

• The Brigham Young University Museum of Art will continue its display of "Subway Graffiti #3," a contemporary quilt by Faith Ringgold, originally on display for Black History Month. Ringgold completed the work after a 1986 trip to Tokyo, Japan, where she was inspired by the crowded subway stations and unfamiliar writing that looked like graffiti. The quilt depicts the names and faces of many of the artist's friends and family members.
