It's not too early to start planning for summer — especially if you want to attend the first Quilt Festival in Nauvoo, Ill. The event will take place July 11 and 12 and will include exhibitors from the United States and Canada, as well as classes, make-and-take projects, lectures, demonstrations and quilt displays.

A featured lecturer will be Denise Felt talking about "Quilting With Both Sides of the Brain."

The festival will take place at the Nauvoo Grade School on Mulholland Street. Admission is $3.
