Boats, boats, boats and more boats. Thin ones, fat ones, tall ones and very expensive ones.

It's what visitors can expect to see at the annual Utah Boat Show and Watersports Exposition.

The floor of the South Towne Exposition Center, 9575 S. State, will be covered with land-locked boats and boating/adventure displays. The show will run Feb. 20-24.

The show will cover 243,000 square feet of space in the center and have for viewing pleasure more than $30 million in new 2008 boats.

This will include boats that are affordable, going all the way from small, inflatable ones to those that most boaters can only dream of owning, like a $1 million houseboat.

Other features include:

• The world largest indoor bass tank. Some of Utah's top bass anglers will test their skills in the tank.

• The popular fly-tying theater will be open at certain hours to show popular tying techniques and flies for Utah waters, all being tied by some of Utah's top fishermen — Mickey Anderson, Jerry Puckett, Dave McCormick and Austin Haacke.

• A 170-foot-long "Wake Park," which is a pond holding 54,000 gallons of water, will allow professional wakeboarders and wakeskaters to show off their talents.

• And, along with boats there will be a number of displays showing boating accessories, such as water toys, wakeboards, water skis, stereos, boat covers, life jackets and wetsuits.

The show will be open Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 10 p.m., Friday from noon to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for juniors 7 to 12. Discounts are available by going online to www.utahboatshow.com. For information call 801-485-7399.
