Media from around globe cover leader's funeral

Saturday's funeral service for President Gordon B. Hinckley is believed to be among the most widely covered single events chronicled by news media in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Representatives from every Utah media outlet were present, along with national and international photographers and journalists from the European Press Agency, Reuters, the Associated Press, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX News, CNN, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the New York Daily News and the Los Angeles Times.

Other media represented included Bloomberg News, Politico, Salon.com, the Boston Globe, Getty Images, Expedition magazine, Meridian Magazine and the Tonga Times.

Also present were several Idaho media, including the Idaho State Journal, the Times News in Twin Falls, the Rexburg Standard Journal, KTBV in Boise, KIFI in Idaho Falls and KIDK.
