FOOTBALL: The seventh-annual Utah National Letter of Intent Signing Day Party, scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 6 in the Rice-Eccles Stadium tower, has sold out for the third year in a row.

More than 550 Ute fans plan to attend the football recruiting celebration, which will also be broadcast live on AM 700.

SKIING: Utah skiers won three of the four events held on the second day of the Western State Invitational in Crested Butte, Colo., leading the team to a second-place finish.

Eva Huckova and Tague Thorson won the women's and men's slalom events, respectively. Snorri Einarsson continued to pace the Nordic team with his third win of the season in the 15-km Freestyle.

The Utes tallied 502 points, while Colorado won the meet with 505.5 points.

"This was a great weekend for Utah," Director of Skiing Eli Brown said. "Everyone is healthy and fired up for the last half of the season. We took a big step towards qualifying a full team for NCAA's, which takes some of the pressure off so we can focus on our individual goals."

Thorson's win was his first of the season while Huckova's was her second of the year.

Einarsson was followed in the freestyle by second-place Even Sletten. The duo has finished 1-2 three times this season, with Einarsson winning two of the three races.

INDOOR TRACK: Lauren Endersen won the 3000-meter run to pace Utah at the United Heritage Invitational in Nampa, Idaho, hosted by Boise State.

Enderson finished the race in a personal-best time of 10:08.62.

Chelsea Digrazia had a second-place finish in the mile run. Digrazia's time of 4:59.42 was a personal best. She is one of only six women to run under a five minute mile at Utah.

TENNIS: Due to extreme weather conditions, Saturday's match between Boise State and Utah men's tennis team has been postponed. The match will be rescheduled for later in the season.
