Sitting in street clothes while his teammates warmed up was a new experience for Plaisted. "I've never had that happen before. It was a different feeling. We went in the locker room and coach asked me if I wanted to play. I told him, of course, I wanted to play."
So, Plaisted started.
"I came out, I played and hopefully I helped the team get the win," said Plaisted. In 19 minutes, Plaisted had nine points on 4-of-6 shooting. He also grabbed nine rebounds to lead everyone on the floor in Clune Arena.
"We were really dialed in most of the game on defense," said Cummard.
Cougar notes: The Cougars left Colorado Springs after the game, flying on a charter flight to save time in the trip back to Provo, where they practiced on Thursday. BYU leaves today for Laramie.
