Mobil Travel Guide last week unveiled its list of Mobil four- and five-star hotels, restaurants and spas. Riverhorse on Main and the Glitretind Restaurant of Stein Eriksen Lodge, both located in Park City, received four-star ratings.

Stein Eriksen Lodge also received a five-star rating for lodging and a four-star rating for its spa. The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City received a four-star rating for lodging.

Since 1958, the Mobil Travel Guide has rated hotels and restaurants, based on a standardized set of 250 criteria in an unannounced, undercover evaluation (www.mobiltravelguide.com).

Costa Vida, a Baja-inspired, fast, casual restaurant chain, is celebrating the opening of its 25th location at 501 W. 2600 South, Bountiful. On Saturday, the first 50 customers coming into any store after the 11 a.m. opening will receive a free T-shirt, and if they wear the T-shirts while visiting Costa Vida during February, they will receive a 25 percent discount for their entire group.

Costa Vida offers freshly made burritos, enchiladas, tacos and salads. The Utah-based chain, which has locations in 10 states, was recently named the fourth fastest-growing restaurant concept with 50 units or less by RestaurantChains.net. It also made the Franchise Times' Fast 55 list of the fastest-growing franchises that have launched in the past five years (www.franchisetimes.com).

"Reaching our 25th restaurant so quickly is a testament to the passion we have for our great food," said Costa Vida executive chef David Prows. "We use natural ingredients to bring out the intense flavors of our food. All of our food, such as famous sweet pork, fresh salsas and spicy ranch dressing, are made onsite daily." (294-4370 or www.costavida.net).

The Mandarin, 348 E. 900 North, Bountiful, celebrates the Chinese New Year Feb. 7-21 with a special eight-course menu for groups of four or more people. Diners can also place advance orders for Peking Duck and Whole Fish. The traditional Lion Dance will be performed Feb. 12 and Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m. The restaurant is taking Valentine's Day reservations for parties of two. This is a departure from the Mandarin's usual policy of only taking reservations for parties of more than eight (550-1535 or www.mandarinutah.com).
