SANDY — Momentum Indoor Climbing of Sandy will host the USA Climbing Adult National Climbing Championships Jan. 25-26.

USA Climbing selected Momentum for this competition because of its state-of-the-art facilities and its proximity to the Outdoor Retail Show, which will run at the Salt Palace Convention Center Jan. 23-26.

"This national climbing championship is a chance for the local community to watch professional climbers compete in the exciting sport of indoor climbing," said Momentum general manager Jeff Pedersen. "Many of the nation's best climbing athletes will travel here to test themselves on our walls. Local climbers can join in the fun by entering recreational, intermediate, advanced or over-40 categories and get a taste of a big-time competition."

The competition is open to men and women ages 15 and up. For more information on competing or spectating go to www.momentumclimbing.com.
