CURFEW COMING? The Jazz's recent road woes have Jazz coach Jerry Sloan thinking about reinstituting the curfew he established last season.

"It's something we have to consider," he said.

Not that he thinks that's the sole cause of Utah's 5-5 record away from home and the 100-plus points they've yielded in five straight road games.

"No, we don't have any problems with it," Sloan said. "We've had problems having enough energy to play. Now, are they going to bed? I don't know. I don't follow them around. They should be grown up enough now to be able to take care of themselves to where they can compete.

"When you show the lack of energy like in (Tuesday's loss at Sacramento, where Utah allowed the Kings 43 fourth-quarter points), then ... you wonder what is up. There are 24 hours in every day, and the longest game you have to play is maybe 2 1/2 hours. What's going on here?'

"What," he added, "are we playing (games) for — just to entertain our people at home, and let the other team entertain their people at home? That's what it looks like."
