The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge will hold a Swan Talk event on Saturday.

There are currently more than 20,000 swans resting on Utah's marshes.

Special family and swan stories will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Cost is a maximum of $5 per family or $1 per child.

Preregistration is required. For information call 435-723-5887.

ICE HOCKEY PROGRAMS

The County Ice Center will hold a free introductory hockey class to help introduce kids to the game of ice hockey. The class will be Saturday from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.

Skates, helmets and a stick will be provided. Kids should bring protection for the hands, knees and elbows. Space is limited.

The center is also taking registrations for the Start Smart learn to play hockey program. Classes will begin Monday.

Age groups are 5 to 14. Cost is $50.
