Salt Lake attorney wins national award

Sean Reyes, an attorney with the Salt Lake City firm of Parsons Behle & Latimer, has been chosen as the 2007 National Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year by the American Bar Association.

Reyes, 36, is the first person to receive this new award, which recognizes professionalism, legal skills, leadership and public service. He was chosen from a field of 24 other nominees from across the country.

Reyes also was chosen as the 2006 Utah Young Lawyer of the Year by the Utah State Bar.

He is a summa cum laude graduate of Brigham Young University and got his law degree from the University of California-Berkeley.
