The Utah Department of Transportation is holding three open houses this week for the public to comment on a draft study of the Mountain View Corridor.

Mountain View is a highway proposed to run from northwestern Salt Lake County into Utah County. As many as 384 homes and businesses could be relocated as a result of the road.

The draft environmental-impact study completed by UDOT reviews the "purpose and need" for the road and the impacts on homes and the environment.

The open houses for public comment will be held:

• Wednesday at Hunter High School in West Valley City, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• Thursday at Willow Creek Middle School in Lehi, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• Saturday at Copper Hills High School in West Jordan, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Residents can also submit comment by e-mail by writing to mountainview@utah.gov, or by regular mail to Mountain View Corridor, c/o Parsons Brinckerhoff, 488 E. Winchester St., Suite 400, Murray, UT 84107. Residents may comment by phone by calling 1-800-596-2556, or on the Web at www.udot.utah.gov/mountainview.
